The Wyton Residents' Management Company Steering Committee through Mitie Scotgate organised the improvements to the traffic calming in an effort to improve the safety of all residents on the estate.

And did it work?..........no not a single bit. may be and its just a sujestion...how about moving all the trafic that is parked on the grass and dbl parking on Norfolk Rd?????? it is very dangerouse and is squeezing the trafic through pinch points . tha main culprit seems to be a large white van ( no surprise there) that is parked on the road on churchill rd and variouse others along norfolk rd, we have no option than to use this road to get to the rest of the camp.

The Steering Committee don't entirely agree with your assertion about the effect of the improvements to the traffic calming. However, we do agree that parking on grass verges, etc, along Norfolk Road is a serious problem. We have tried unsuccesfully to get Mitie Scotgate and Annington to act on this issue without success. We have also proposed that the grassed areas along Norfolk Roas be infilled to enable residents to park on these areas; again without success. Apparently, it's too expensive! Being a private estate there is little that the Steering Committee can do to improve the situation re' parking. When we tried to get additional traffic calming along Norfolk Road, Mitie Scotgate asked the residents and the resident voted against it. If you know of another method of improving the situation please get in touch with the committee. You can email me directly on chrisbell415@yahoo.co.uk
In the meantime, thanks for your comments.

I for one am extremely glad that no more speed bumps were fitted to the estate, i have had to replace my suspension 4 times since living here, the cause, the speed bumps. I hav to go over every one to get to my house and would love to see them removed, they do not stop people speeding so why have them at all?

micky your bang on the nail the speeding has not stopped at all infact i can see cars speeding past my home regularly. the parking must be addressed on this road. double parking on side walks and in some cases so far out in the road that it chokes the road. i still think that the speed notifications were a waste of money. a bit of paint warning of speed restrictions is soon ignored. the summer holiday is comming up and so cchildren will be around so come on lets get this addressed. May i ask again just what he money HAS gone on this year so far and what plans are there for the future?

as for infilling the grass NOOOOOO we would loose the trees. it is simple park in your area or in the area that was sold to you . One option maybe would be to buy the area out side your home???
